I have been a big fan of Jane Austen's work; my favorite being Sense and Sensibility. And I am always looking for a good read. I recently read Marilyn Brant's novel "According To Jane", and must admit it was a charming book. It tells of Ellie Barnett's journey through high school into adulthood, recounting her mistakes and triumphs. It's hard not to like her and even harder still not to love her inner voice (Jane) advising her on what's prudent. Although, I am not the "happily ever after" seeker, in this case I really wanted Ellie to have the white picket fence dream, and you probably will too. Its a great, fun book for when you need to a little laugh and levity.
