I joined a gym in January as part of my New Year’s Resolution to get more exercise. Up until now, I’ve been strictly an elliptical girl when it comes to cardio, but lately I’ve started to run on the treadmill. I was inspired to try a new workout when I wrote the Walking Challenge article for our May, June and July issues. We followed three inspirational women who got fit and healthy through walking ( you can join the challenge here! ). I’m starting slow—I’ve been alternating between walking and running (I try to keep up a run pace through a song on my iPod). Any tips for a new runner? What do you do to keep energized during a workout?
